This gauge is based on Horace Fulton's July 17, 1888 patent. It's clearly stamped with the patent date and name. This is a butt and hinge mortise gauge made of wood with three internal cutters. Interestingly, this basic design is essentially the same as that used in the Stanley 94 nd 95 gauges. It's a very good example with light wear. Unusual and quite scarce. $28

This was, by far, the most expensive level C-S made at their Pine Meadow factory outside of Hartford, CT. It's made of dense rosewood. Despite being only 26in long, it weighs 4.5lbs. The wood is in amazing condition, with barely any dings. The problem is that the original lacquer or varnish has yellowed over time and become cloudy. You might consider stripping and polishing it, but it's a rare tool so I'll leave the choice up to you. The brass is nicely patinated and uncleaned. Both vials are intact. It's clearly stamped with the model no. on one end. It's the first example I've seen, and it's a good one. $85

This is the largest screw thread micrometer I've come across. It was made by Slocomb in Providence, RI. It's an earlier example with the Mat 12. 1896 and April 3, 1897 patent dates on the barrel. It's also marked 8-13 P.U.S.S-V which I assume is the type of thread it measures but I can't find anything on that abbreviation. It's in excellent working condition with minimal wear. $22
