Updated November, 2013 I finally have pictures of a Harvey Peace No. 48. This is the first and only no. 48 that I have evidence of. This saw belongs to Mark Kuzee a saw collector who graciously provided them to me to post to this page.

This saw has Munger's patent saw screw so it likely dates to the mid-1870s to the late 1880s, buts it's impossible to ut an exact date on it. The interesting thing to me is the etch which is unlike any other Peace etch I've seen. The saw had a badly broken handle which was repaired. It's a great saw and I'm thankful to Mark for providing pictures.
