Features: Cherry Handle, Carved and Polished, Brass Screws, full width, Skew or Straight Back , Nickel Plated Re-Inforce Plate

The P-26 was one of, if not the only, Peace-branded saws that continued to be produced subsequent to the Disston acquisition. The P-26 was included in the Henry Disston & Sons catalog up until at least 1919. This saw retained the Peace logo, as well as the patent reinforcing strip. The reinforcing strip was nickel plated brass. Saws in good condition will retain some or most of the nickel plating. The handle, according to the catalog, is cherry, and is wheat-carved. The medallion is at the bottom of the handle, a location unique in the Peace line to this saw. This saw was often custom-etched with the logo of a hardware store. Some of these custom etches can be seen HERE.

This is one of the most common Peace hand saws, probably due to the fact that it remained in production long after the regular Peace line was discontinued.
